Removing, replacing and then bedding squeaky brakes

Thanks to Ryan Doherty, and the gracious use of the LeMons teams' garage (Jaywatch & Judgebusters), we were able to take out these old rotors and pads...

and replace them with bright, shiny Carbotech rotors with their autocross brake pad, AX6.

Ran into a stubborn rotor that was firmly attached. So Chris (who happened to be working on his BMW), kindly gave it the propane torch treatment, and just a minute or two later (with a few generous whacks with a sledgehammer), we got it free.

About 3 hours from start to finish, we managed to get all four rotors and pads installed pretty cleanly, as well as tightened the oil pan and checked the steel brake lines that we installed on Sunday.

The reason why I'm sharing this is because a month ago, I wouldn't be able to distinguish a flare nut from a torque wrench. And I guess the lesson here for me is that being able to grow and learn beyond your zones of comfort and skill, is in a way, kind of badass.

As for the bedding, I'm afraid that will have to remain a secret.
