Crunch time for the Life Reboot

This morning, I had a queen sized Tempurpedic bed, duvet, pillows, sofa, matching chair, book shelf, a gigantic box of kitchen utensils and other useful goodies, as well as two cars.

This evening, all I have left from that list are the two cars, with one halfway through a transaction. There are still smaller items that we are sorting out (Burning Man gear for instance), but we are closing in on the finish line. 2 days, 4 hours, 35 minutes and counting until takeoff.

Today consisted of:

1. Getting a dental crown shaved very thin to fit, resulting in a higher likelihood of it cracking in half (living life a little dangerously).
2. Going all the way to San Bruno just to get an engine compression test done for a buyer. (230 - 220 - 220 - 220 in case you were wondering).
3. Finding out that a $1700 Toda header is not street legal. Smog fail.
4. Moving all the aforementioned stuff.
5. And getting to hang out with neighborhood friends, Mark & Justine, who are coincidentally moving as well.

All in all, still a good day. Much accomplished, and a big shout out to Chad for the assist on moving many of the items listed above. Even though challenges continue to present themselves, you just whack-a-mole them until they stop. Tomorrow, a final dim sum with Ryan and Kat, enjoying some overdue champagne, and the final push. The goal is to be relaxing in our empty apartment on Monday. And then a 6 am flight to Isla Mujeres where Life Reboot truly begins.
